The Designer

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, Brittany Sierra has always been attracted to fashion and from an early age she dreamed of one day finding her place in the fashion industry.

Originally Brittany  wanted to be a fashion designer until she discovered her passion for designing and making jewelry. What started as a hobby quickly turned into a business and by early 2011 Brittany had founded HATE’ER Jewelry.

HATE’ER Jewelry, pronounced ‘hate her, was given it’s name as a way to bring awareness to the poor relationships between women.  From her experience, Brittany noticed that many women would describe other women as fake, conniving and untrustworthy  before calling them their friend. It seemed to her that sisterhood was becoming a thing of the past and many popular TV shows-although extremely entertaining- were only perpetuating this notion and further convincing women to prejudge and distrust each other.

With her jewelry line, Brittany Sierra hopes to not only bring attention to this subject but to also be an advocate for positive friendships amongst women and for sisterhood.

Brittany is also the Social Media Manager for Portland Fashion Week as well as the founder of Downtown Glamorous.
